Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate Truffles -01

It’s been awhile since I last posted but times have been a bit busy which has kept me from updating this blog, but I am back which this sweet post!

I know I already have a whole lot of other projects going on but I couldn’t help but make this into a pattern after seeing how well the first sketch turned out despite it coming from one of my drawing prompt books. The sketch is a little on the cutesy side of things, but it reminded me a lot of this illustration I did for a mentorship. So I thought, “hey, why not! Let’s make more chocolate illustrations!”

However, for this version, I decided to make it a little classier and I decided to remove the wrappers because at that point it started to get a little too cluttered for my taste. In the end, the final product gives a more mature yet fun vibe. The texture added on some of the chocolates definitely give the body more dimension, it also helps keep the pattern from appearing too flat. All in all, I have to say this pattern is definitely making me crave something sweet right about now.

Until next time!
